The online conference was held within the framework of the UN-EU project "EU for Strengthening Black Sea Monitoring", where high school students from Batumi and Poti gave competitive presentations on the Black Sea ecosystem.
Within the framework of the mentioned project, in the village of Skhvitori, with the involvement of students, one of the tributaries of the river Chikhura, grown in the river trout of the National Agency of Wildlife, taken from wild trout, and the boxes were put in the 10,000 pieces of spawn of the trout.
Launching river trout spawn and larvae in the wild is a method that promotes, with minimal human intervention, the reproduction of vulnerable species and maximizes the natural hatching process.
Within the framework of the same event, specialists from the National Environmental and Wildlife Agencies gave lectures to students on Black Sea environmental issues and trout as an endangered species.
