Monitoring is carried out within the framework of the European Union-funded project "European Union for the Environment - Water Resources and Environmental Data (EU4WD)".
The main goal of the project is to develop water resource basin management plans and support environmental monitoring activities in Eastern Partnership countries, including Georgia.
The implementation of the project will contribute to the improvement of surface water monitoring systems in Georgia, the development of basin management plans and the implementation of the environmental principles of the EU Water Framework Directive.
The researches were carried out by the specialists of the National Environmental Agency and project experts in the territories of Imereti, Racha-Lechkhum-Kvemo Svaneti and Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, at pre-selected research points.
