Specialists of the National Environmental Agency of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, in order to expand the monitoring network of underground fresh drinking water, Md. Preliminary hydrogeological studies have been carried out on the territory of the Rion Basin.
Field studies were carried out in Imereti, Racha-Lechkhum-Kvemo Svaneti and Guria. The results of the mentioned studies will contribute to the development of the river. development of a basin plan for water resources management in the Rion river basin and assessment of the quantitative and qualitative state of groundwater bodies.
The research was carried out within the framework of the EU4Environment - Water and Environmental Data project funded by the European Union.
