Visit of the heads of the National Environment Agency in Italy
Environmental pollution monitoring
Tamar Pitskhelauri, head of the National Environmental Agency of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Teimuraz Mtivlishvili, deputy head of the agency, and heads of the Environmental Pollution Monitoring Department were on a working visit to Italy.
Members of the Georgian delegation met with Stefano Sorvino, Director General of the Italian regional environmental agency ARPA Campania. At the meeting, the Georgian side got acquainted with the activities of ARPA Campania in the direction of monitoring and modeling air pollution.
As part of the visit, representatives of the National Environmental Agency "Ekomondo" attended the exhibition of green technologies in Rimini. The mentioned exhibition is an important international event in Europe in terms of the exchange of technological and industrial innovations. Representatives of the National Environment Agency also attended seminars held within the framework of the exhibition in order to familiarize themselves with innovative technologies.
The information obtained during the mentioned visit will greatly help in the exchange and implementation of the European experience of the National Environmental Agency in the direction of expanding the air pollution monitoring network in the current process in Georgia.
