Representatives of the National Environmental Agency presented geological information bulletin to the regional administration of Mtskheta-Mtianeti and Kvemo Kartli.
Specialists of Geology Department of the National Environmental Agency have prepared a regular information bulletin “Results of the development of natural geological processes in Georgia in 2022 and forecast for 2023”, which describes the geological hazards (landslides, mudflows, rock avalanches, rockfalls) processed as a result of geological monitoring and research conducted during the period of extreme activation of natural disasters, etc.) information about.
The Bulletin is also accompanied by specialized maps of geological hazards for individual parts and municipalities of Georgia.
The geological information bulletin prepared by the Agency's specialists was sent to the relevant state bodies and organizations, as well as to local administrations and heads of municipalities.
The head of the department of geology of the National Environmental Agency personally handed the bulletin to the heads of the administrations of Mtskheta-Mtianeti and Kvemo Kartli and local municipalities, together with specialists.
Representatives of the agency presented to the public present the main activities and directions of the agency, as well as the results of the development of natural geological processes in the regions of Mtskheta-Mtianeti and Kvemo Kartli in 2022 and the expected forecasts for 2023.
At the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to natural hazards in the regions and agreed on further cooperation.
