The presentation of the monograph "Weather, climate and the regularities of their changes in the conditions of Georgia" created by the specialists of the Department of Hydrometeorology, Technical University of Georgia and M. Nodia Institute of Geophysics of Tbilisi State University (L. Kartvelishvili, M. Tatishvili, A. Amiranashvili, L. Megrelidze and N. Kutaladze) was held at the National Environmental Agency.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the National Environmental Agency, experts in the field, scientists and teachers from various universities.
As part of the presentation, a discussion took place, in which the Scientific Research Institute of Hydrometeorology and Geophysics and Iv. It was received by scientists from the Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. The speakers highly appreciated the work and emphasized its scientific value.
The monograph was published as part of the publishing project of the National Science Foundation. Shota Rustaveli and contains research materials on the formation and variability of weather and climate, carried out by the authors.
It should be noted that such a joint work was created for the first time in Georgia and is published both in Georgian and in English. The work uses ground-based observations, satellite and model data. Calculations are performed using modern software packages.
The handbook presents patterns of weather changes studied with the help of modern technologies, and current trends in climate change based on long-term data processing.
