Specialists of the National Environmental Agency took part in the training held in Trabzon
Environmental pollution monitoring
Specialists of the National Environmental Agency were in Trabzon, where they took part in a marine expedition together with representatives of the Black Sea countries and international experts within the framework of the Black Sea4Fish project “Standardization of the Black Sea bottom trawl and testing of a ship catching a net-weapon”.
An international expedition involving the Agency's Department of Fisheries, Aquaculture and Aquatic Biodiversity tested a new device, a standardized bottom trawl, which will be used for scientific research. Teaching included both theoretical and practical work.
The BlackSea4Fish project is supported by the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM) of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and aims to conserve biological resources in the Black Sea and promote sustainable fisheries.
