Environmental Assessment
With the introduction of amendments to the “Code of Environmental Assessment” (Law of Georgia No. 1445-VIIIms-Xmp dated February 22, 2023), which ensure the participation of the public / the public concerned in the decision-making process provided for by the Code, the availability of up-to-date information and the conduct of public hearings have passed into the competence of the Environmental Information and Educational Center.
According to the amendment to the Code, from July 1, 2023, information on ongoing proceedings and public hearings provided for by the Environmental Review Code, as well as decisions issued in the field of EIA/EP, will be published by the Department of Environmental Information and the LSI Education Center on the environmental information portal http: //ei.gov.ge/
