Agency specialists took part in the third Caucasus Mountains Forum

Specialists of the National Environmental Agency took part in the third forum of the Mountainous Caucasus "Transdisciplinarity for the development of sustainable tourism: the role of Caucasian scientists" and in a regional meeting.

The forum was held at the A. Tsereteli State University in Kutaisi.

Within the framework of the forum, specialists from the National Environment Agency presented reports on ongoing activities in the field of modeling and mapping natural hazards, as well as hydrometeorological observations.

Within the framework of the regional meeting, the agency's employees took part in discussions on the impact of negative consequences caused by climate change in the South Caucasus region. The discussions highlighted the areas of water resources management and natural hazards and the issue of future cooperation between Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia with the support of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) in these areas.

The meeting was attended by representatives of state bodies, scientific and non-governmental organizations.
