Working meeting in Rome
Aquaculture
A representative of the National Environmental Agency took part in a working meeting on the promotion of aquaculture.
The meeting was held in Rome with the support of the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM).
Participants discussed the online platform of the Spatial Information System of the Maritime Administration (SIPAM). Through this platform, national aquaculture statistics are submitted to the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM).
The main goal of the information system (SIPAM) is to promote the sustainable development of aquaculture in all interested countries, including Georgia.
The meeting was attended by representatives of 26 countries, which Georgia joined for the first time this year.
