Environmental pollution monitoring
On July 26 and 30, the National Environmental Agency of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture conducted a regular monitoring of the Black Sea water quality.
According to the monitoring results, the Black Sea water quality is within the normal range!
In the course of the research, chemical indicators were determined, including the concentration of 13 heavy metals, the amount of oil hydrocarbons, 16 polyaromatic hydrocarbons and other physical and chemical indicators.
The National Environmental Agency monitored water quality in the Black Sea every 10 days at 9 stations. Since July 10, 3 points of the Anaklia-Ganmukhuri region have been added to the number of stations. The values of 59 parameters are determined in the taken samples.
Samples are sent for analysis to an accredited laboratory for the analysis of atmospheric air, water and soil of the National Environmental Agency, which is equipped with high-precision analytical equipment and fully complies with modern requirements and standards.
