Various activities have been undertaken within the National Environmental Agency to raise environmental awareness.
As part of the event, representatives of the agency and students of the school cleared the coastline of the Black Sea in Gonio and Grigoleti and separated the collected garbage.
The students also received an informative lecture on the sources of marine pollution from the Agency.
The campaign included a local-level meeting for stakeholders to raise awareness of the further reduction and prevention of marine waste in the Black Sea.
These measures were implemented within the framework of an ongoing project with the support of the European Union (EU-funded project Marine Litter MED II) and the Black Sea Protection Commission (BSC).
