Representatives of the department and schoolchildren cleared the coastline of the Black Sea in Batumi and Grigoleti

As part of environmental awareness-raising activities, representatives of the National Environmental Agency and schoolchildren in Batumi and Grigoleti cleared the coastline of the Black Sea and separated the collected garbage.
Students listened to the informative lecture of the agency’s specialists on the sources of marine pollution.
Within the framework of the campaign, representatives of interested parties of Poti city met. The meeting discussed further measures to reduce and prevent the generation of marine waste in the Black Sea.
These measures were implemented with the support of the EU-funded project «Marine Debris MED II» and the Black Sea Protection Commission (BSC).
