A report on the evaluation of the Rustavi Air Quality Action Plan (2020 - 2022) has been prepared

Under the current sub-project «Improving air quality policy development capacity through the implementation of integrated air pollution monitoring tools» The National Environmental Agency of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture has prepared an evaluation report on the action plan for the improvement of the ambient air condition. Air quality in Rustavi was prepared.
The report provides an assessment of the results of the «Action Plan for the improvement of air quality in Rustavi for 2020-2022», approved by the Georgian Government Resolution 2059 of 22 October 2020.
It should be noted that the goals and objectives of the “Action Plan to Improve Rustavi Air Quality” are fully consistent with the priorities and objectives defined by national program documents in the field of atmospheric air protection, as well as the obligations stipulated by international agreements and national priorities of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The assessment was carried out in accordance with the “Rules for the development, monitoring and evaluation of political documents”, approved by Decree of the Government of Georgia No. 629 of December 20, 2019, in which 5 main assessment criteria adopted in the political planning and coordination system of Georgia were used: relevance, effectiveness, effectiveness, sustainability and impact.
The Action Plan Evaluation Report was developed with support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Government of Sweden.
