Working trip in Switzerland

Specialists from the Geological and Hydrometeorological Department of the National Environmental Agency, together with a representative of the National Crisis Management Centre of the National Security Council, conducted a study tour to Switzerland as part of the project «Strengthening the ability to adapt to climate changes» supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.

Within the framework of the project, the agency’s specialists, under the guidance of Swiss experts, had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with field and office work, as well as with the best practices in managing natural hazards and risks in various regions of the country, including modern systems for monitoring and preventing landslides and landslides.

The visit was supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as part of a major climate programme supported by the Green Climate Fund and the Governments of Georgia, Sweden and Switzerland.
