Agency's Statement on Geological Disastrous Processes

A team of geologists from the National Environmental Agency under the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture is currently in the Adigeni municipality, where the activation of an old landslide body, which is in a state of temporary stabilization, is occurring. Detailed information regarding this situation will be provided later.
In addition, the agency's specialists are continuing to assess activated geological processes across the country at the request of the municipalities. Currently, the teams are working in the regions of Samtskhe-Javakheti, Guria, and Imereti, specifically in the municipalities of Adigeni, Borjomi, Khoni, and Chokhatauri.
The agency’s specialists will assess residential and homestead plots, as well as infrastructural facilities, and provide appropriate recommendations for further protective and preventive measures.
