The Head of the National Environmental Agency, Mr. Vasil Gedevanishvili was on a working visit with a specialist in Austria. During the visit, members of the delegation attended the international conference "INTERPRAEVENT 2024." Meetings were held at the Tyrolean Provincial Snow Avalanche Management Service and the University of Innsbruck.
The international conference "INTERPRAEVENT 2024" was organized by the Austrian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Regions, and Water Management. This year's theme was "Natural Hazards in the Context of Climate Change: How to Manage Risks Amid Global Warming." Participants at the conference discussed issues related to natural hazards, including their management and prevention.
"During the visit, we had the opportunity to familiarize ourselves with the challenges posed by natural hazards in the context of climate change in developed countries and their management through modern technologies. Participating in events such as the international conference 'INTERPRAEVENT 2024' is vital for us as we seek future cooperation with leading global organizations, which in turn facilitates the adoption of modern technologies and approaches for managing natural processes in our country," stated Mr. Vasil Gedevanishvili, Head of the National Environmental Agency.
