Specialists of the agency presented the informational geological bulletin to eight regional administrative units

The representatives of the National Environmental Agency presented the informational geological bulletin "Results of the development of natural geological processes in Georgia in 2023 and forecast for 2024" to eight regional administrative units.
The newsletter prepared by the specialists of the Geology Department of the Agency includes information about geological hazards (landslides, mudflows, avalanches, rockfalls, etc.) developed as a result of geological monitoring and studies conducted during the period of extreme activation of natural disasters.
The bulletin is also accompanied by specialized maps of geological hazards according to individual parts and municipalities of Georgia.
The informational geological bulletin prepared by the agency's specialists has been distributed to relevant state agencies and organizations, as well as to regional administrations and municipal leaders.
The head of the Geology Department of the National Environmental Agency, along with specialists, personally presented the mentioned bulletin to the heads of Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti, Guria, and Imereti regional administrations and local municipalities.
Agency representatives delivered a presentation to the attendees outlining the agency's main activities and directions, along with the results of natural geological processes in the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Guria, and Imereti regions for 2023, as well as anticipated forecasts for 2024.
At the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to natural hazards in the regions and agreed on future cooperation.
