Strategic Environmental Assessment Guidelines for the Spatial Planning Sector of Georgia
Within the framework of the "European Union for the Environment" (EU4Environment) project, in 2024, a strategic environmental assessment guide was prepared for the spatial planning sector of Georgia. The objective of the manual is the effective implementation of the strategic environmental assessment (SEA) procedure in the spatial planning sector of Georgia in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Assessment Code; Promoting sustainable spatial development, ensuring early and effective integration of environmental protection principles and approaches in spatial strategic documents. The mentioned manual will help the planning bodies and consulting companies in the preparation of documentation, and the agency - in the decision-making process.
