Environmental pollution monitoring
Within the framework of the project "Innovative joint training for the formation of environment-friendly behavior of the communities living in the Black Sea basin” ongoing at the LEPL National Environmental Agency, a working meeting was held in Batumi.
Activities that have to be implemented during the project, goals and future events were discussed at the meeting.
The project aims at improving citizens’ friendly behavior towards the environment, implementing environmental activities to raise awareness, and reducing pollution in the Black Sea basin regions.
Informative meetings and demonstrative actions for cleaning the water surface are also planned within the project. On the basis of the analysis of the collected data, a guideline with appropriate recommendations will be developed. In the manual, measures to establish effective and long-term cooperation, as well as activities for the reduction of pollution in the regions of the Black Sea Basin, will be defined.
Representatives of the local stakeholders attended the meeting as well.
The mentioned project is co-funded by the European Union in the framework of the “Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme”.
