Hydrometeorology
Representatives of the National Environment Agency were in Istanbul within the framework of the project "Black Sea Smart Marine Environmental Outcomes System".
The National Environment Agency, together with Turkish and Romanian partners, is implementing this project with the financial support of the European Union.
The project aims to create a communication system for collecting and sharing data from mobile stations and bases in the Black Sea region.
At the workshop held in Istanbul, the participants discussed the possibilities of data sharing, the introduction of innovative technologies, and the acquisition and use of marine drones.
The project will support continuous monitoring of the main parameters of the marine environment, including temperature, salinity, oxygen levels and seabed characteristics, as well as transboundary cooperation, identification and elimination of gaps in databases.
