Representatives of the Agency attended a training course in Thailand

Aquaculture

Representatives of the Fisheries, Aquaculture and Aquatic Biodiversity Department of the National Environmental Agency attended the training course “Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation: Pathways to Sustainable Development” held at the Environmental Science Research Center of Chiang Mai University in Chiang Mai, with the support of the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA).

During the training course, participants discussed the scientific basis of climate change, global trends, the impact of greenhouse gas emissions, and climate monitoring tools.

The practical component of the course included the preparation of greenhouse gas inventories, the study of emission calculation methodologies, and the development of mitigation measures.

The knowledge and experience gained will enable specialists to actively contribute to the National Environmental Agency’s climate change-related projects and the development of relevant policies.

Participation in similar training programs will further strengthen the Agency’s capacity in environmental policy and climate change-related activities.
