Environmental Agency continuously conducts research and monitoring of marine
biodiversity in the Black Sea, including ichthyofauna. To date, no species
hazardous to marine biodiversity or human health have been detected in
Georgia’s coastal waters. Accordingly, the information being circulated
regarding the presence of dangerous species in Georgia’s Black Sea waters is
not true.
We urge everyone who intentionally or unintentionally attempts to mislead the public to refrain from spreading unverified information.
