The Agency conducted joint monitoring of surface water bodies in the Chorokhi–Acharistskali basin
Environmental pollution monitoring
National
Environmental Agency conducted joint monitoring of surface water bodies, which
includes the assessment of hydromorphological, biological, and physicochemical
parameters.
The
Chorokhi–Acharistskali basin was selected as the pilot area, while the monitoring
points were identified with the involvement of an international expert.
The purpose of
this activity is to ensure that the monitoring process aligns with the new
river basin management model, which the country will adopt following the
enactment of the new water law.
The research process is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the European Union Water Framework Directive and aims to support the sustainable management of water resources.
