The National Environmental Agency has become a member of the European Meteorological Network (EUMETNET)

A cooperation agreement has been signed between the National Environment Agency and the European Meteorological Network (EUMETNET), which was signed by the head of the agency, Elene Ghubianuri.
“Within the framework of the aforementioned agreement, the Hydrometeorology Department of the National Environment Agency will be given the opportunity to cooperate with the national meteorological and hydrological services of European countries, participate in common programs and modules, and benefit from common training resources. The cooperation will significantly improve the quality of weather forecasting in Georgia and strengthen the agency’s capabilities in the field of climate services and early warning,” said Elene Ghubianuri.
The European Meteorological Network (EUMETNET) is a platform for cooperation and coordination between national hydrometeorological services, which serves to develop and improve weather forecasting, climate services, and early warning systems across Europe.
It is worth noting that the European Meteorological Network (EUMETNET) is one of the leading organizations in the field, uniting 33 member and 6 cooperating organizations.
