Slovak experts
paid a working visit to the Environmental Pollution Monitoring Department of
the National Environmental Agency under the Ministry of Environmental
Protection and Agriculture.
Within
the framework of the visit, fieldwork was carried out using a water parameter
measuring device purchased for the Agency, including water sampling and on-site
measurements.
At
the laboratory for the analysis of atmospheric air, water, and soil, the
experts conducted training sessions, which included both theoretical and
practical instruction on a high-tech gas chromatograph, as well as the
introduction of analytical methods for determining various pollutants in water
samples.
The
visit was conducted within the framework of a cooperation agreement between the
National Environmental Agency and the Slovak University of Technology (STUBA),
with the support of a project funded by the Slovak Agency titled
“Implementation of Modern Analytical Methods for the Determination of Organic
Pollutants in Accordance with European Water Directives.”
Such activities contribute to the professional development of the Agency’s specialists and the sharing of international experience.
