National Environmental Agency

Working Visit to Romania

Environmental pollution monitoring

Representatives of the National Environmental Agency participated in a partnership meeting held in Romania within the framework of the ongoing project “Innovative Joint Learning for Environmental-Friendly Behavior of Communities in the Black Sea Basin” (LEARN4SEA).

During the working meetings, the parties discussed the project’s ongoing activities, objectives, and future initiatives. In addition, as part of the project, field observations were conducted in polluted areas of the Danube Delta to study the impact of waste.

The goal of the project is to promote environmentally friendly behavior among citizens, implement environmental protection activities, and reduce pollution in the regions of the Black Sea Basin.

Within the framework of the project, a network of environmental information centers established in the Black Sea Basin countries will be interconnected through a digital platform. To raise awareness among selected target groups in each partner country, information sessions and demonstration campaigns are planned.

The project is co-financed by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme.
