A representative of the Geology
Department of the National Environmental Agency attended a regional expert
workshop held in Klein Kölzig, Germany, on the topic: “Strengthening
Science–Policy Interfaces in Biosphere Reserves and UNESCO Global Geoparks.”
The workshop was organized by the
UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe and aimed to
facilitate the exchange of experience among different countries.
The meeting brought together
scientists, representatives of environmental agencies, as well as experts from
geopark committees and UNESCO National Commissions, who delivered presentations
on geological heritage and geoparks in various regions.
As part of the event, a field visit was conducted to the Germany–Poland UNESCO Global Geopark.
