International Projects Expert Delia Arnold Paid a Working Visit to the National Environmental Agency
The Head of the National Environmental Agency, Elene Gubianuri, together with Deputy Head Irakli Megrelidze and agency specialists, met with Delia Arnold Arias, International Projects Expert and representative of GeoSphere Austria – the Austrian national geological, geophysical, climatological and meteorological service – who was on a working visit to Georgia.
The Head of the Agency introduced the international expert to the ongoing and planned activities of the National Environmental Agency.
The purpose of the visit was to elaborate the necessary issues for signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the Agency and GeoSphere Austria and to prepare the draft memorandum. The cooperation aims to promote the development of hydrometeorology and geology in both institutions.
Within the framework of the working visit, the expert visited the Batumi Regional Office of the National Environmental Agency, the Poti Aerological Station, and the Kutaisi Meteorological Radar.
