Environmental pollution monitoring

The atmospheric air quality monitoring network of the National Environmental Agency is expanding by 10 additional automatic stations during the current year.

Currently, 18 air quality monitoring stations operate across Georgia, including 15 automatic and 3 mobile stations. They provide continuous monitoring of atmospheric air quality in Tbilisi, Rustavi, Batumi, Kutaisi, Telavi, Akhaltsikhe, Mestia, and Zugdidi.

The monitoring system measures concentrations of nitrogen oxides (NOx, NO, NO₂), ozone (O₃), sulfur dioxide (SO₂), carbon monoxide (CO), and particulate matter (PM10, PM2.5).

The stations are equipped with modern, standard-compliant instruments that enable continuous and reliable air quality monitoring.

The data collected from the stations is available online via the air quality portal: www.air.gov.ge.
