In Bhutan, the second international workshop of the “Mountain Partnership” was held

Head of Disaster Processes and Engineering-Geology Division of the National Environmental Agency, George Gaprindashvili, attended the second international workshop of the “Mountain Partnership” held in the Kingdom of Bhutan.
The aim of the workshop was to strengthen cooperation and share experience among different mountainous regions.
Within the framework of the meeting, modern approaches to mountain region management, opportunities for resource mobilization, and ways to strengthen the link between science and policy were discussed. Special attention was also given to identifying existing challenges and needs, sharing best practices, and deepening future cooperation.
The workshop was attended by representatives of government agencies from various countries, as well as members of institutions and relevant secretariats working in the field of mountain governance.
The event was held with the support of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Adaptation at Altitude initiative, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), and ICIMOD.
