On the occasion of World Environment Day, various events were held at the National Environmental Agency to raise environmental awareness, within the framework of which students from the Faculty of Agricultural Technologies and Chemical Engineering of the Georgian Technical University visited the Agency's Laboratory for Atmospheric Air, Water and Soil Analysis.

The students, together with the laboratory staff, participated in research on atmospheric air, water and soil using biological and chemical methods.

It is noteworthy that the laboratory systematically hosts students from various universities and helps them apply theoretical knowledge in practice and develop relevant skills.

Chemical and microbiological studies of water, soil and air are conducted in the laboratory taking into account the methodologies of the relevant EU framework directives.

The laboratory of the National Environmental Agency is equipped with high-precision analytical instruments and is the only one in Georgia that has been monitoring the quality of the environment since the 1960s and has unique databases.

On the occasion of World Environment Day, the opening event of the National Climate Change Adaptation Plan (NAP) of Georgia and the awarding of the best teachers within the framework of the project "Education for a Green Future" were also held.
