Field-practical hydrogeological lecture for students
Hydrometeorology
Within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the National Environmental Agency and the Georgian Technical University, employees of the Department of Geology held a field-practical hydrogeological lecture for students of the Faculty of Mining and Geology and Sustainable Mountain Development.
Using the example of automatic stations located in Tianeti Municipality, the students were introduced to modern systems for monitoring groundwater fresh drinking water, the principles of operation of stations installed on monitored wells, as well as methods of using field portable equipment and procedures for data registration, documentation and field recording.
Within the framework of the meeting, the students also received information about the activities of the National Environmental Agency and ongoing work in the hydrogeological direction.
Cooperation in such a format is particularly important for the training of qualified personnel in the field.
