An online meeting of stakeholders was held at the Agency within the framework of the "Black Sea Smart Marine Environmental Outcome System"
Within the framework of the ongoing project “Black Sea Smart Marine Environmental Outcomes System” at the National Environment Agency, an online meeting of stakeholders was held.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the ongoing activities in Turkey, Romania and Georgia within the framework of the project. As well as the functionality of the common database and platform.
The meeting aimed to share knowledge and experience among stakeholders, deepen cooperation and promote the effective use of project results in the Black Sea region.
The meeting was attended by local stakeholders, representatives of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, the Institute of Hydrometeorology of the Georgian Technical University, Ilia State University, Batumi State Maritime Academy, the Georgian State Hydrographic Service, the Adjara and Guria Regional Divisions of the Environmental Supervision Department, as well as representatives of non-governmental organizations and project partners from Romania and Turkey.
The project aims to promote adaptation to climate change, prevent disaster risk and enhance resilience.
It is worth noting that the project "Black Sea Smart Marine Environmental Outcome System" uses artificial intelligence technologies to collect, analyze and share marine environmental data, which contributes to the formation of a climate-resilient and sustainable marine ecosystem.
