The number of fish resource quotas in the Black Sea for 2020-2021 years has been determined

Specialists from the National Environment Agency of the Ministry of Environmental and Agriculture of Georgia with the support of the European Commission and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the UN, General Commission for Mediterranean Fisheries (GFCM), have determined 109 000 tons.
Surveys carried out with the support and direct involvement of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) have, for the first time, enabled the National Environment Agency to stockpile in accordance with EU standards and the requirements of the Mediterranean Commission.
It is important to note that a thorough production of stock estimates will contribute to the sustainable development of the fishing industry in the country, the growth of the economy and the employment of the local population. Also, the amount of fish resources provided ensures the full load of fish processing enterprises.
