Environmental pollution monitoring
The National Environment Agency continues to work to improve air quality monitoring in the country.
The document "Air Verification Data Verification and Validation Procedure" was developed by an international expert and agency specialists invited within the framework of the current project "Improving Air Quality Management Capacities in Georgia". This guide will assist the Agency's Environmental Pollution Monitoring Department in ensuring the accuracy of air data in accordance with the requirements of the relevant EU directives.
The project assessed the capacity of the Environmental Pollution Monitoring Department of the National Environment Agency. Also, a four-day distance training was held for the staff of the relevant departments of the service and the Ministry.
The initiative "Improving Air Quality Management Capacities in Georgia" is implemented by the National Environment Agency with the support of the Swedish Government under the Governance Reform Fund (UNDP-GRF) project of the United Nations Development Program.
