Memorandum of Cooperation Signed between the National Environment Agency and Batumi State Maritime Academy

A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the National Environment Agency of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture and the Batumi State Maritime Academy.
Within the framework of the memorandum, it is planned to cooperate between the parties in the field of science, implementation of grant projects, joint participation in scientific research activities, seminars, trainings and other events.
"Cooperation within the framework of the memorandum will help us to deepen the existing scientific-research potential. The National Environment Agency, together with the Batumi State Maritime Academy, will be able to plan and develop scientific activities, support the development of aquaculture and strengthen the monitoring of the Black Sea, ”said: Mr. Andro Aslanishvili, head of the National Environment Agency.
The aim of the cooperation is to develop marine ecology research in Georgia, to develop joint projects and their implementation.„
In the long run, in cooperation with the National Environment Agency, research in the field of marine ecology will make a significant contribution to the development of the field – said the Rector of the Batumi State Maritime Academy, Irakli Sharabidze.
Under the memorandum, the parties will ensure the development and promotion of existing industries in the maritime sector.
