For the first time in the history of Georgia's independence, a comprehensive report on groundwater resources has been prepared at the National Environmental Agency

The Specialists of the Geology Department of the National Environmental Agency of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture have prepared an informational hydrogeological report "Assessment of Quantitative and Qualitative Characteristics of Georgia's Groundwater Freshwater Resources (Analysis, Forecast and Recommendations)".

It should be noted that such a complex report on groundwater freshwater resources was created for the first time in the history of Georgia's independence.

The report includes information processed by the Agency's specialists within the framework of the EU-Georgia Association Agreement, assessment of planned hydro geological monitoring, methodology, quantitative and qualitative characteristics of groundwater, and human impacts and impacts of groundwater and freshwater resources and about the challenges on climate change.

The report also reflects stock-historical data on Georgia's groundwater freshwater resources and their use.

The report prepared by the specialists of the agency is sent to all relevant agencies. The interested persons can get acquainted with the document in the funds of the National Environmental Agency.
