The online seminar "Georgian Aquaculture Development Strategy" was organized by the National Environment Agency of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture, the EU Delegation to Georgia and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
During the seminar was discussed the international experience in the fields of extensive aquaculture, mariculture and onshore fisheries, and was discussed the development of a document on Georgia's national aquaculture development strategy with the involvement of the private sector.
This document will significantly contribute to the development of the sector, increase the volume of production, eliminate barriers to the development of the sector and develop state programs.
Representatives of the public sector, as well as international and private organizations participated in the online meeting. Participants made presentations on the challenges in the field.
