Hydrometeorology
The National Environmental Agency of the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture, with the support of the Norwegian Government, has been equipped with high-precision, modern, innovative field and office equipment.
This equipment will facilitate and improve the rapid implementation of modeling and analysis of hydrological data; As well as the accuracy of data obtained as a result of field hydrological work, which in turn will increase the effectiveness of natural hydrometeorological forecasting and early warning.
The state-of-the-art, high-performance equipment provided by the project will process, analyze and systematize the geological data obtained during the field and field surveys, which will significantly improve the Agency's capabilities in the field of services.
The National Environmental Agency purchased modern, high-tech equipment with the involvement of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and with the financial support of the Norwegian Directorate of Water Resources and Energy (NVE) as part of the ongoing project "Strengthening Hydrological-Geological Monitoring to Promote Hydroelectric Power Plants in Georgia". The total cost of the equipment is 205,930 GEL.
