At the National Environmental Agency, students of Sokhumi State University passed the course "Climatology and Climate Resources"
Hydrometeorology
Within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the National Environmental Agency of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture and Sokhumi State University, the students attended the lecture of Liana Kartvelishvili, Doctor of Geography, on Climatology and air resources. As part of the practical work, the students, together with the staff of the laboratory, participated in the study of atmospheric air, water and soil by biological and chemical methods.
The students also visited the complex meteorological station of the National Environmental Agency, where they got acquainted with the working principle of air and soil temperature, synovium, solar radiation measuring instruments, including the barometer, which is the only one in Georgia.
It is noteworthy that the lectures-seminars are conducted annually by the leading specialists of the National Environmental Agency for the students of Geography-Geology and help them to improve their qualifications, apply theoretical knowledge in practice and develop relevant skills.
