Project Title:

“Black Sea Smart Marine Environmental Outcome System", (BS-SEOS)

The BS-SEOS project is designed to develop and implement standardized communication mechanisms for environmental and related data collection systems operating via "online" mobile stations. These include advanced "smart" buoys and autonomous surface vehicles (ASVs) deployed across marine environments. The initiative focuses on integrating and harmonizing data with existing European databases, fostering a collaborative and interoperable framework for environmental monitoring.

Through the application of innovative modeling techniques—including the use of artificial intelligence—the project aims to support partner organizations in addressing a range of ecological challenges. Additionally, the project will promote knowledge exchange and shared access to environmental models and analytical outcomes with other interested stakeholders across the region.

The primary objective of BS-SEOS is the establishment of a standardized communication system for the acquisition and dissemination of environmental data from mobile stations and existing databases within the Black Sea region. This approach is expected to enhance transboundary cooperation, identify and resolve existing data gaps, and support improved decision-making for marine environmental protection.
